AJAX Image pop up

hi all ,,

 

i saw a site where we click on the thumbnail image, the background looks faded and a window opens with a image on it. I searched in GOOGLE but could not find it...

 

Actually what is it called any specific name for it, anyone knows the URL where i can download it. I found one named Lightbox, but it does not work  .

you must be doing something wrong with your installation of lightbox.js, because lightbox is known to work, and work cross browser, and is in fact is what Ebay is using for it's pop up full size pictures on the search listing pages.

ok.. it works now.. Do you have any idea if there are others too ???

there's thickbox.js which allows you to put form fields into your js popup as well.  There's a bunch of others too, just do a google search.

This is a really neat effect, but keep in mind, if the user is on an older computer, it might really bog down there system giving them a head ache...
