Cannot View Modified DOM in Source

Hi,

 

I created a ajax application, i am able to modify the dom by using innerHTML ,and see the results

but when i see the source of the HTML page i dont see any new content which was dynamicaly added.

 

This is the part of the javascript which does dom modification.

if (xmlHttp.status == 200) {

 

var xmlDoc=xmlHttp.responseText;

 

document.getElementById("test").innerHTML=xmlDoc;

 

}

 

 

HTML part

 

<div id="test">

 

</div>

 

The application works perfectly fine and i can see a table which is dynamically added.

but when i do a view source of this page i dont see a <table> tag anywhere !!

 

 

Has anybody faced a similar issue?

when you modify the dom, no change to the source code is made by the browser, it only modifies it's own internal dom tree structure. And that's how it works in every browser for everybody!
