Ltj_bukem
Hi, I want to query the database to retreive the email address of the current loggin in user, is this possible? I can manage to get the result of all the registered user but I want each user to only see their own/ $sql = mysql_query("SELECT `user`.`username`, `user`.`passwd`, `user`.`email` FROM user " ) I guess I need to use WHERE but don't know the code. Many thanks Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/71522-query-problem/ Share on other sites
shocker-z
It depends how your holding their username on your site are you using sessions or cookies? your query would be along the line sof $sql = mysql_query("SELECT `user`.`username`, `user`.`passwd`, `user`.`email` FROM user WHERE username = '".$_SESSION['username']."'") or die(mysql_error()); my example is based on when you authorise the user you have chosen to save their username in a session variable called username. Ltj_bukem
Thanks, I am using $_SESSION rather than cookies, that seems to work fine. Cheers Liam Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/71522-query-problem/#findComment-360081 Share on other sites
