kongknabe
Hi. First of, this is a beta of a site I'm currently working on with a friend - not all browsers are supported yet! On a PC you can use Firefox or Safari3 Beta (Safari seems to do the best job) - IE7 will be supported shortly :-) (At this time we do not plan to support IE6) On a Mac you can use Safari3 Beta, Firefox, although Firefox/Mac is really poor.. Lots off bugs, slow and it eats your CPU :-( The site is not quite finished yet... Some small bugs may occur, and we haven't yet implemented a simple HTML site for browsers not supported - it will all be there in time... :-) (We also plan an English version this site) Would like to get some feedback on functionality, feel and performance :-) www.drinksonline.dk/beta
kongknabe
By the way. since this is a Danish site, may bee I should translate a little... "FindDrink" is obvious "it's called the same in danish and English) - The searchfield at the right (TømBarskab) is translated to "Empty your likker cabinet" or something like this.. Put in whats in your likker cabinet and the list shows you the drinks you can make out of that (And what you might need to buy) :-)
kongknabe
I'm really interested in feedback on performance, and possible comments on this (Sorry for bumping this, but have spent a lot of time on it and it means a lot to me )
bobleny
Ah, It's slow and therefor makes me mad.... OS: Linux Distro: Ubuntu Browser: Firefox V. 2.0.
kongknabe
Thank you very much for your feedback - i haven't had a chance to test it in Firefox/Linux my self but if its anything like Firefox on Mac its not your fault, but the gecko engine... This is sad, but in time we plan to offer an alternative site, in pure HTML, for browsers who aren't capable of rendering javascript properly :-) (Thank you for your feedback - you are the first Linux user i have gotten feedback from, and it could seem that firefox is as badly implemented in Linux as it is in Mac OS X - this is sad, but crucial to the decisions we make about browser support :-))

kongknabe
By the way - since i have finaly gotten my hands on a Linux user i would really like to know how this site performes in WebKit on Linux... (In my oppinion, from a webdevelopers point of view, WebKit is the one and only browser as of today!) - If you or any other Linux user would try out WebKit you can read a guide to insall it here: http://mondaybynoon.com/2007/04/23/installing-and-running-webkit-in-linux-using-qt/ (You will be baffled by the speed compared to Firefox on our site - at least i hope so ;-))
