hungryOrb
Hello, trying to make a password prompt, which puts the password into the $_GET of an <a> link tag. Using this, does nothing ;] <script type="text/javascript"> function disp_prompt() { var name=prompt("Please enter password","") if (name!=null && name!="") { document.getElementById("control").href="control.php?id=\" + name + \"") } } </script> If anyone could correct this, or suggest another way, it would be most appreciated..! TiA!
RichardRotterdam
javascript is a great a tool but some things are NOT ment to be done with javascript. especially when it comes to putting a password in a $_GET string youre trying to use an extreme unsafe way if you're going that way might as wel not use a password at all. Use php only for this
hungryOrb
Thanks, but safety isn't really important because I'm simply making an in-house database.. It's not open to the web. If I use PHP, I'll have to use several pages, just to make it work, while with a prompt, I could do it without all that. If a prompt is possible at all that is.. :/
