ukweb
Hi, I've got a script which uploads a CSV document and makes it unique on the server, which works nicely. The second takes the uploaded csv and enters the details into a database. The CSV has 4 columns; and I need to assign the values of each column to 4 variables, we'll call them $1, $2, $3, and $4 for simplicity. The CSV only has 1 row at a time contained within it. How do I use this, I just cant understand the usage for fgetcsv!!! Any help is received with appreciation! Thanks Stephen Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/74704-solved-fgetcsv-cant-work-it-out/ Share on other sites

Barand
Lets call them $a, $b, $c, $d as numeric var names are illegal. <?php $fname = 'test.csv'; $fp = fopen($fname, 'r'); while (list($a,$b,$c,$d) = fgetcsv($fp, 1024)) { echo "$a $b $c $d <br/>"; } fclose ($fp); ?> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/74704-solved-fgetcsv-cant-work-it-out/#findComment-378289 Share on other sites
