Recommended Posts

<form action="submitreg.php" method="post">
Desired Username: <input type="text"><br>
Desired Password: <input type="text">
</form>

This is just an ordinary unmodified form I have created. The problem is that the form positioning outputs like this:

alignef5.th.jpg

How do I make this look normal?

Thank You :)

<form action="submitreg.php" method="post">
Desired Username: <input type="text"><br>
Desired Password: <input type="text">
</form>

you can use the size parameter like this:

<form action="submitreg.php" method="post"
Desired Username: <input type="text" size="##"><br>
Desired Password: <input type="text" size="##">
</form>

## is number.

also if you want dots over your password feild:

<form action="submitreg.php" method="post"
Desired Username: <input type="text" size="##"><br>
Desired Password: <input type="password" size="##">
</form>

The alignment difference is because the text coming before the input box is of different length. You could use something like this:

<form action="submitreg.php" method="post">
<p>
  <label for="user">Desired Username:</label>
  <input type="text" name="user" id="user" value="">
</p>

<p>
  <label for="pswd">Desired Password:</label>
  <input type="password" name="pswd" id="pswd" value="">
</p>
</form>

And then float:left the label and float:right the input.
