I have a very old be great threaded message board that my users lover and don#t want me to change. But I want to addess security to it to stop people posting as other people. As the code is in Perl the only inbuild security to the code is reading the Apache REMOTE_USER, value.

Therefore my simple question, is how can I get a PHP page to enter a session variable to this value.

Thanks

Stephen
