[SOLVED] onmouseover only highlights on text

hi

 

im trying to get onmouseover to highlight whenever it goes over a div it will only highlight when it goes over the text and when i move off the text it executes the onmouseout function even though its still in the div?!

it should highlight whenever im in the div - even if not on the actual text until i leave the entire div

 

please help

 

this is the function:

 

        function ShowMenu(Item)

        document.getElementById(Item).style.visibility = 'Visible';                   

}

 

        function HideMenu(Item)

{

            document.getElementById(Item).style.visibility = 'Hidden';

        }

 

        function MenuSelect(Item) {

            document.getElementById(Item).style.background = '#ffff99';

        }

 

        function MenuDeselect(Item) {

            document.getElementById(Item).style.background='white';

        }

 

heres the div:

no worries - there was a problem with the css one of the div boxes involved with where the "highlighting" was taking place.

it didnt have anything to do with the text...

 

not that i understand how it but its working!
