Splicing xbox360 gamercard generator codes

im in way over my head here, especially since my php skills are close to nonexistent. basically i have 2 scripts that pull data from the the gamercards generated at the xbox site. the problem is that the one im using doesnt display icons for last games played. now i have another script now that pulls all the info, however it lacks an image generator that i need to make custom cards. here are some links to show what im talking about:

i looked at the code from both scripts and despite the fact that they do relatively the same thing, the code used for each looks nothing alike. so i ask you folks, how can i pull the icons bit from the second and add it to the image generator one?
