Well, how do you think this works. You have a page calling a page with a get statement... Obviously something has called the current page, that could have a get statement included in it's link and the server would parse it for php. Therefore you have two options, 1) check the get and use to call something from included file, or 2) from within the included file, parse the get statement and do something appropriate...

 

Basically the include statement just, includes the file as if it is part of the existing file. e.g. if you have a file and include 10 other files, it would be the same as still having just one file.
