So I thought I understood GD after reading the tutorial but I have just tried to create my first script using GD and I am getting an error.  All I am trying to do is open up a PNG file and save it in GD format as I understand this is quicker to open for GD scripts and this is a background image that I will be using a lot.

 

The error appears to be in the first line of code which is:

$im = imageCreateFromPNG(polaroidbg.png);
?>

 

But I m getting the following error:

Warning: imagecreatefrompng(polaroidbgpng) [function.imagecreatefrompng]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in C:\xampp\htdocs\testing\polaroid.php on line 3

 

I guess it is trying to tell me that the file is not there but it is??  ???

Try putting quotes around the image name

$im = imageCreateFromPNG("polaroidbg.png");

 

Also, make sure the path to the file is correct.
