Usernames and the Database.

Ok in my website I have a view_active.php that shows how many unregisters people are online, and how many members are online.

 

here is the coding for that

anyways, my question is this how can I do that but see if a user is online, for example, If the user James was online the script would output

 

James is: Online

 

but if James was offline it would output

 

James is: Offline

 

I am a php noob, and I did not write the code for the view_active.php

 

so if anyone has a solution that would be great, thanks!

how can I pull information from a table in a Database?

 

If I can figure that out, then I can write a If script in PHP.
