[SOLVED] Remote image

I am trying to show an image on my website from another website but I don't want to "hot-link". What I'd like to do is using php get the image in binary (or something) not the actual image but the code behind it then have the script create a new file with the correct headers and the code for the image. If that makes any sense whatsoever.

So basically I want to get a remote image, then have it copied to my server. Is something like this even remotely possible?

I don't know about the technicalities, but I don't agree with you being able to do this anyway.

The website you want to copy the image from may be paying to use the image - why should you get it for free if that is the case?

I would email the website if you really want to use the image - if they have no problem they will let you have the image or could tell you how to obtain a licence.

How would you feel if someone 'stole' you images for free use on their own website?
