optikalefx
Hey guys, ive been looking around for a while and i really need to know how to do this. I need to be able to find the ftp server of the site your currently on. By means of php or javascript or something. I cant assume all sites will be ftp.site.com so is there anyway to find this information from running code?
lemmin
Nope. There is no guarantee that the site even has ftp set up. If it does, it will be the same location as the site, but on port 21 (most likely) instead of port 80. I don't really know what you are trying to do, but you can get the ip of a hostname with gethostbyname() and then connect on an assumed port 21. Here is the documentation for gethostbyname(): http://www.php.net/manual/tw/function.gethostbyname.php
