about uploading images to mysql

hello there a am new in this great site !

i have a few questions  about uploading images to the database

....

 

this is my first time that i upload and download image to mysql

I have already an images table in the data base . and i want the images to appear as list (all the images in one page)

so i have to download the picture in a temporary folder right ? ? and then show them

how i do this to be temporary .. i mean that the pictures will be deleted later

because whats the point if they are in the server and in the database

 

2) there are a pictures that i want them to be protected

i dont want user to have a direct access to the pictures

 

so how i do this

 

well iknow how to upload and download to database

but what next !

how i full protect my pictures? ?
