verlen
Hi! Is there a way to prevent users from multi-registration? I have a site, where people get credits by inviting people to the site. After each registration, the inviter gets a credit. There is only an IP and a cookie check on the site (and the email of course). In case the system finds out that the reg has been completed from a "known" IP, the inviter doesn't get a credit. This goes for the cookie thing as well. What can be done to check if the user who registers has already been registered (using anoher ip, email)?
revraz
What if they are from a Dorm or Work location where they all come from the same IP? There is no way to validate if its the same person or not. You can easily grab a new IP, and easily create a new email account. You could limit it by not allowing free email accounts to sign up.
