trixie
I have a mail form on a website I've created that uses Jack's Formmail. Everything is working beautifully, except the redirect. I want it to redirect to a thank you page that looks like the rest of the site instead of the generic "Thank you for your submission" page. The one I created has a link to the home page (yeah, yeah, I know, I could plug some code in there to make it redirect automatically, but to say that I'm a PHP newbie is being generous. I know just enough to totally screw things up, but I'm working on learning it). I need to get this launched, and my estranged husband is the one who used to do this stuff. Can someone PLEASE help me? ANYWAY, the link to the webpage (shtml-based) is https://clarkandclarkagencies.com/auto.shtml Here's the code that it calls: <?php /* ############################################################################## # PLEASE DO NOT REMOVE THIS HEADER!!! # # COPYRIGHT NOTICE # # FormMail.php v5.0 # Copyright 2000-2004 Ai Graphics and Joe Lumbroso (c) All rights reserved. # Created 07/06/2000 Last Modified 10/28/2003 # Joseph Lumbroso, http://www.aigraphics.com, http://www.dtheatre.com # http://www.dtheatre.com/scripts/ ############################################################################## # # This cannot and will not be inforced but I would appreciate a link back # to any of these sites: # http://www.dtheatre.com # http://www.aigraphics.com # http://www.dtheatre.com/scripts/ # # THE SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR # IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, # FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE AND NONINFRINGEMENT. JamieThompson90
Looking over the code there is a section saying, // if the redirect option is set: redirect them below that is a redirect code so that implys that it has an inbuild redirection option somewhere. I am unfamiliar with the script so you will have to look for this option in the controlpanel if available. Once you have done this simply create a webpage that you wish to show and enter it as the redirect and voilla! This webpage could be thanks.php for example, if you do not have a control pannel on your form create a redirect hidden feild and that should do the trick. I think thats what you were aiming for? Let me know if im totally off topic I got a bit confused with the mass of code! trixie
Thank you for your quick reply, but there *is* a hidden redirect field in the form tags on the web page, which I posted a link to. If you look at the source code of the web page, you'll see it. That's why I'm going crazy - the redirect instruction is there but not working. No control panel, that I'm aware of.
