Ok firstly how do sites use "log out due to inactivity" is this from sessions of some kind? How does it work ?

Also how do you stop members being on the same site but like logged in on internet explorer AND a different browser at the same time ? And when they do it.. auto log them out ?

1.  Sessions have a timeout setting in the php.ini.  When this timeout has been reached, the session has expired.

2.  You really can't unless you track their login activity and if they try to log in a 2nd time, dont let them.
