Your computer does not have to be turned on at the end of the auction. if so your need to use php and ajax as your need to post users that are bidding on a item constantly........... as the page will need refreshing to add the users bid......... Ajax may do it faster -- I didn't test it. Since I already have the session info from monitoring the auction during the last xxx seconds, I don't have to go through any type of login, so curl posts the data in < 1 second.
