ldoozer
Is it possible to find out the location of a visitor to your website i.e. return the town or city? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/84279-location-of-a-visitor/ Share on other sites
Daukan
Yes it is possible. I'm not sure on how to do it but I think you need a database seeded with IP address ranges and their locations. I don't think there is scientific way of doing it yet. Last I heard an international ip addressing system that acts like zip codes was being worked on. tibberous
Google GeoIP, they provide both a free and a paid location database. You *can* use the CVS to load up a mysql database, but they also provide a command-line app that is faster.
