badrid
Hi All I'm new to apache/XAMPP so appoligys if this has been covered somewhere before! I've installed XAMPP and now when i go to htp://localhost it automaticlly goes to http://localhost/xampp rather then the 'It works!' page. I'm guessing i need to change something within httpd.conf but i'm not sure what! Thanks in advance Malcolm Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/84504-changing-default-page-on-apache-when-using-xampp/ Share on other sites
peranha
Look for document root and change it to the folder you want ex DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs" Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/84504-changing-default-page-on-apache-when-using-xampp/#findComment-430539 Share on other sites
badrid
I've checked that and the document root is: DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs" There is the index.html 'It works' doc in there and also a folder called, XAMPP but i can't work out why it's going straight to the xampp folder (More specifically http://localhost/xampp/start.php) as i can't find any mention of start.php within the httpd doc.
