badrid
Hi All I'm new to apache/XAMPP so appoligys if this has been covered somewhere before! I've installed XAMPP and now when i go to htp://localhost it automaticlly goes to http://localhost/xampp rather then the 'It works!' page. I'm guessing i need to change something within httpd.conf but i'm not sure what! Thanks in advance Malcolm
peranha
Look for document root and change it to the folder you want ex DocumentRoot "C:/Program Files/Apache Software Foundation/Apache2.2/htdocs"
badrid
I've checked that and the document root is: DocumentRoot "C:/xampp/htdocs" There is the index.html 'It works' doc in there and also a folder called, XAMPP but i can't work out why it's going straight to the xampp folder (More specifically http://localhost/xampp/start.php) as i can't find any mention of start.php within the httpd doc. Cheers Malcolm
