php not working as intended

Recommended Posts

"Installing on Server 2003 standard.

Apache 2.2.6

PHP 5.2.5

I went the website, and got the "It Works" Message, for Apache.

When I loaded the index.php page, it just shows the page in internet explorer as a text file.

When I tried to run phpinfo, the result was error-404 not found.

What am I missing so that php pages can work.

Thanks"

Hello,

First check that you successfully installed php, and also make sure that you have file saved with .php extension. Some time operating systems hides the extension of the file, some times save with .php.txt. So please make sure for that.

Are you successfully restarted apache after installing php?

If not then restart apache.

Hope your problem will solved.

Thanks,

Vishal
