thomashw
I'm trying to import (using phpmyadmin) an excel CSV to populate one of the tables in my database. I'm trying to have a little bit of HTML in one of the fields, and whenever I add it I get an error and it doesn't import the file. When I remove the HTML it imports fine. Is there any way to get phpmyadmin to ignore the html and just import it as text? I believe it's the quotes that are making the error. toplay
Backslash quotes when necessary. Do this: INSERT INTO table_name (col1) VALUES ('Isn\'t this great?') or this: INSERT INTO table_name (col1) VALUES ("Isn't this great?") More examples: INSERT INTO table_name (col1) VALUES ('a famous quote: "something".') INSERT INTO table_name (col1) VALUES ("a famous quote: \"something\".") INSERT INTO table_name (col1) VALUES ("a famous quote: 'something'.")
