Laura Lee
Hello, I don't know a lot about PHP, so I'm sorry if this question is resolved really obviously! However, I have installed numerous php scripts on my website without problem. I just bought a new domain though, and I can't seem to get any PHP scripts to work correctly. They seems to install without problem, but after I log into the admin area, I can't do anything. Everything that I click on brings me back to the login page to enter my password, again. I am currently trying to install a photo gallery. I first installed Coppermine and had this problem. I tried checking all of the MySQL info and then even reinstalling it, but the problem persisted. I then installed MG2 at http://julytree.org/gallery but it is doing the same thing. I can log in, but when I try to click on anything, such as upload photos, it brings me right back into the login page at admin.php. For MG2, I didn't even need to provide MySQL database info, so I don't think this is a MySQL issue... but I could be wrong. I'm working on talking with my host (startlogic.com) but it takes a while to connect with them, and sometimes they aren't too helpful, so I thought I would post here in the meantime. Thanks so much for any help! And if you need any additional info, here is my server info: MySQL Version 5.0.45 PHP Version 4.4.7 Path to PHP /usr/local/bin/php MySQL host julytree.startlogicmysql.com Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/85143-solved-repetitive-password-prompt/ Share on other sites
rajivgonsalves
There could be a problem with your session in php if you are getting log out at multiple times... however I am not too sure... it could be because of various reasons... Laura Lee
Thank you very much for your help! Luckily, I just got through with my host and I guess it was a problem on their end, so they fixed it... Thanks!
