helraizer
Hi folks, I'm in the development/testing phase at the moment for a project I'm doing, and thus I can learn from feedback. Is the overall layout good and is do the colour/zoom functions work and are they useful? (javascript needed) http://helraizer.dnsalias.net/42/html/music.htm For now that's the only page with content. Please leave your feedback. Sam Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/86554-my-project-site/ Share on other sites
pocobueno1388
I think the layout is pretty nice. Maybe add some rollover images for the links. The javascript works for me, but I'm not so sure it's necessary. If someone needed to change the font size, they could do so with their browser. Also, not sure why you would want to give them a text color choice, I'm sure everyone would be fine with the white or gray. I suppose it's pretty cool, but kinda useless if you ask me. I must admit that the colour choice is pretty useless but the zoom idea just increases accessibiliy slightly, the browser's zoom increases everything on the page, rather than just the content text (the headings stay as they are) which is better I think, but as with most things that's opinion. How about the rollover links, what would make it better? Thanks for the reply. =) Sam Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/86554-my-project-site/#findComment-442559 Share on other sites
helraizer
The site was down today because it's easier to host on my laptop's apache than uploading everything to my webserver. But then I took my laptop to school and don't the webkey yet so could connect to the internet to host it. It's back now. tibberous
I was wondering what you were hosting it on, loaded slow as hell. I'd loose the text choice - makes it look like you just learned javascript. Most people I've asked say that it's useful. That site is just hosted on my laptop, through Apache (xampplite) - loads pretty fast for me. helraizer
Received an error, IE7 doesn't like it Yeah, I got the same error in ie7, it works in firefox though, which is weird. (well not really 'cause firefox > ie, but still ) I think that is because of some javascript I put in, I'll work on it today; try and fix it. helraizer
Ok, problem solved, it works again now in both IE and FF (not sure about others). IE7 was, for some reason, taking the javascript I used as malicious so was trying to protect itself.. =\ anywho, I've changed it now for the same effect.
