[SOLVED] List data in alphabetical order

hi all, I have a script that pulls a list of categories from a table, however, i want to the list them alphabetically but I have no idea on what to do. i have searched the web with no luck. figured someone may know something here. If you do please reply thanks.

Alphabetically by what fieldname?
