IMAP forwarding email

I have an email account that I check with PHP (the emails are never retrieved by any POP3 programs). Instead my PHP code parses the emails for what it needs then it sends them to another email address (which IS collected by POP3 programs) and then they are deleted from the original email account.

Is there a general PHP function that can send the email on regardless of whether it's text, HTML, got attachments etc. etc? Basically sending the email on exactly as it received it. I have tried a few suggested functions and none of them deliver the email looking the same way it would if it had not gone through the IMAP handler.
