reading a csv file and inserting into mysql

I am reading a csv file that contains info about our users environments. I want to take the daily file and insert it into myusql. Here is what I have but I am probably way off. Please help! Should I use file_get_contents()? How does that format the text so mysql_query can insert it?

<?php

$filename = "//iar-dc5/logs/448701b8-a239-4db6-a1e2-47b9147d93dd_20080213.csv";

file_get_contents($filename)

$db_host = "localhost";

$db_user = "user";

$db_pwd = "pass";

$db_name = "database";

mysql_connect($db_host, $db_user, $db_pwd)

or die(mysql_error());

mysql_select_db($db_name);

mysql_query(INSERT INTO dalogs(FullName, UserID, Workstation, IPAddress, MAC, OS, SP, RAM, MyDoc, LogServ, PWDays, HDSize,

) VALUES( ???
