chaosblade
I know the basics of template engines and all the in's and out's of flat-file templates. However, I find these very awkward and was wondering if anyone knows the locations of a good database (mysql) driven template engine tutorial. Thanks for any help =) Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/9147-template-engine/ Share on other sites
steelmanronald06
I don't know if it is database driven, but i do know smarty is good. I have created a nice little tutorial over how to setup and use smarty: [a href=\"http://lampgeekz.netgeekz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32\" target=\"_blank\"]http://lampgeekz.netgeekz.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=32[/a]Yeah, sorry for the link to another site. I made that tutorial on my site and i didn't really feel like re-writting it again. Anyways, hope that helps. chaosblade
Not quite what im looking for.I know of famous existing engines such as Smarty and Fast Template and Cute Template and many others...however im looking for something that its not learning "another language" to use the template system and there it isn't tooo bulky. If you take a gander at what Invision and vBulletin setup - thats similar to what im looking for.
