widget
Scenario.. I would like my users to have a visual character for their profile page. This character would be able to be dressed up via a drag and drop script. such as this one http://www.dollmakerscript.com/ or http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex4/image3.htm or http://dollmakercode.com/doll-maker-code.php The tricky part is, is there such a thing as having a link or whatever that when they have dressed their character, it saves the image to the server and places the image link in the database? Theres lots of sites that use character dressing but usually in flash and Im not advanced enough to work that one out. Does anyone have any advice or know of anywhere I could find this information out? I've searched my butt off and cant find anything like what Im after, just thought you guys might have a heads up. widget
For anyone who is interested, I have half way completed the dress up characters. I couldn't get any of the scripts I found to work so I just went ahead and made it my own way. There is now no javascript and no dragging. I simply made divs on top of one another, 1st for body, 2nd for clothing, 3rd for hair etc etc. All images are transparent .png's I then added the required tables to the database. All thats left to do is code the page where the user chooses their clothing etc and its done. Well not quite that simple but I will get there.
