michaelp
Awhile back I installed Web Developer Server Suite on a machine to use as a database for our lab (apache2/mysql/php). Anyway I had a friend walk me through the setup and got it going. I now have to change the IP address of the machine. I changed it in the TCP/IP settings in Windows (XP pro) but when I try to access the webpage hosted by the server it directs me to the old IP and of course fails to connect because the address has changed. I'm not sure where I tell the server what the new IP is or how this redirection is taking place. I looked at the httpd.conf and didn't see any IP information there. Any help or suggestions would be much appreciated. Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/92109-apache2-server-ip-change/ Share on other sites
wildteen88
What do you mean by ip address of the machine? What address are you using to access the webserver? Are you accessing it locally (LAN/computer) or remotely (internet). Need more information not quite understanding you. michaelp
Thanks for the reply. I've figured it out. Actually all I had to do was reset the machine. Should have remembered to always do that with Windows. I was trying to access it remotely, over the net from a different computer.
