bob950
Hello. A couple weeks ago, I began creating / designing a website. I am not much of a coder, so I used a free, open source php script. The script is 100% open source, so I have been having a little fun modifying it, and adding certain things. My question is, would it be possible to make a music script, that displays a list of music, and allows the user to select which song to play? But also, would it be possible to have it so when you click a new page, the music doesn't stop, but keeps playing? I have seen sites that have done this, but cannot figure out how. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Bob
cooldude832
to answer your first question we would need to understand how you store your data. Secondly that has nothing to do with php, the only way to really accomplish what u want is to have a secondary window open with the music play in it and the user simply keeps it minimized and it will keep on playing
bob950
I will show an example http://site.fatal-warriors.com/ if you go down near the bottom, you will see a list of songs that you can click and that will play and will not start over when you visit a new page. I also know that this is possible, because a while ago I was using a paid zend encrypted php script that had this option. And my site stores its data into an SQL database. Also, the script I am using is VERY similar to the script shown in the example website.
cooldude832
considering we have seen 0 script I'm not going to waste my time writing it for you, so show stuff or move to a freelance to get help if you have no clue how to do this. bob950
Maybe I should have explained what my question was more specifically. I did not want anybody to write any script for me, but more as to explain how I would go about writing it myself. I have some understanding of PHP, so I have no desire of having people do my dirty work for me. Sorry if this was mis-interpreted.
