help with adding data to db

Hi again,

Can someone tell me why this isnt working please

 

if (isset($_POST['submit']))
{
	$desc=$_POST['desc'];
	$rating=$_POST['rating'];
	$sql = "update reviews SET rating = '$rating' where reviewid = '$reviewid'";
#echo $sql;
DBQuery($sql);
	header ($_SERVER['PHP_SELF']); 				
exit();
}

This is really doing my head in

Try that.

Ok i think the problem is that im using text and javascript to post the form. heres the code for the text button.

 

<a href="#"  class="searchnumber" onClick="javascript:form1.submit();" id="submit" name="submit"><img src="../images/icons/arrow.jpg" width="12" height="13" border="0" align="absmiddle"> Submit Changes</a>

 

I tried it with a standard button and it work well just not with text submit
