mailto email link with date?

I have an email mailto link with subject:

 

<h1 id="email"><a href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=Hello ">[email protected]</a></h1>

 

I was wondering to insert date onto subject line?

 

I've tried the following:

 

<h1 id="email"><a href="mailto:[email protected]?subject=Hello "$date>[email protected]</a></h1>

 

Any ideas!
