move_uploaded_file in windows

I just can't get this to work.

I need to do a move_uploaded_file to a directory on top of the current dir, but of course, MS HAD to make sure to use backslashes, so that they could cause as much trouble as possible.

I am just trying to get this stupid line of code to move the file into the dir on top of the current dir, but of course, it doesn't work.

$dir = "LOGPconf\\";
$file_and_dir = $dir . basename($_FILES['upload']['name']);

if (move_uploaded_file($_FILES['upload']['tmp_name'],$file_and_dir))
$errorup = "false";
else
$errorup = "true";
