czs
Hey everyone, I've never used an exec() function before and I've tried to read all about it and figure it out but i can't get it to work. I'm trying to run a java program store on the server when i hit a button. Right now i defined a variable for the path of the program: $Match == '/MatchingReal/src/Main.java' And then below I have the button: <form id="form1" name="form1" method="post" action="<?php exec($Match); ?>"> Is my definition of $match wrong? Is my action wrong, both? Any help or even sources to read would be greatly appreciated. Please keep in mind I am fairly new to php. Thank you! aximbigfan
$match = "<program_path>"; exec is a strange function. I have had mixed success with it. Some commands it will simply refuse to run, IE shut down apache. aximbigfan
Hi Chris, What I meant was remove the <>. For example, $match = "C:\foo.exe"; Chris Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/95024-php-exec-help/#findComment-486751 Share on other sites
