Also, I need to make an image of the Operating System. If you want to transfer files, just put the old drive in the PC and copy the files to the new drive. If you want to clone, Norton Ghost works real well. Norton Ghost makes an image of the hard drive or partition, but I am looking for a cheaper software or free one. Any ideas? peranha Posted March 8, 2008 Share Posted March 8, 2008 It will make a copy of the drive, either to an image if that is what you want, or to another drive. it will do partitions, or the whole drive which ever you want. Not sure of a free cloning software.
