Jabop
Hey everyone, I have been researching the issue I'm trying to solve all night, but can't find resolution, so I decided to register. Here is a description of my problem: I have a form with a select option, and textarea. When a user hits the submit button and if the select option hasn't been chosen, I store the contents of the textarea into a variable and spit it back out on the page. However, if the textarea had a single quote (') in it, it will double the single quote (''). This happens unlimited times however many times the user submits without selecting an option. I've looked on php.net about htmlentities, htmlspecialchars, etc, and can't find any fix to this. If anyone knows what immediately is wrong, help would be appreciated. Thanks! brown2005
can you put your code?
Jabop
[pre]; Use Sybase-style magic quotes (escape ' with '' instead of \'). magic_quotes_sybase = Off[/pre] It was on, I turned it off, and it fixed it. Hopefully this isn't bad.
