rubing
I am an amateur (7mos experience) php coder. It seems like there is a huge buzz in the php world about all the many frameworks. What I am wondering is whether or not I should be transitioning to these frameworks so early? I remeber when I first started playing guitar my instructor warned me about not going electric too early, before getting my chops down... and my intuition tells me this maybe the same. So, should I become more expert at PHP, before transitioning or should I stop wasting time and jump on the framework express. I'd appreciate any feedback! lordfrikk
Framework can speed up your coding time, but if you're new to PHP you can get lost pretty easily. I suggest learning PHP more thoroughly before using a framework, although there are even some simple ones, which could be useful to a beginner scriper as well.
