ultraloveninja Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Hello- I was wondering if anyone had any resources, guides, etc. about how to use PHP to upload files to a FTP account. The FTP account is already created on a server and i just want to use a web based form to upload files to that FTP account. If any one has any information about this, it will be greatly appreciated. craygo Posted March 17, 2008 Share Posted March 17, 2008 Since PHP is a server side script, You would actually be using the server the php script is on to make the connection to the ftp server. So if the FTP server is another box somewhere out there you would be going from your box to the php web server to the ftp server. Not very efficient. Now if the FTP is located on the same box as the web server then you could just use file functions to move files around and view files in the users folder.
