hey.

if I've a php file .. then I include a file that contains only functions (size e.g 50 kB ) , however I only used 1 function from the above file, so the question is , does the user must wait as if he's loading a page with 50 KB, or it doesn't really matters that much because the file is only processed on the server side !?

The file is only processed on the server but I imagine that the entire file is read in in order for it to find and use the function you're using.

 

I've got a similar file on my PC containing loads of functions that I use and all I do is copy and paste the functions I use into the main include and use them there, mostly in classes. (eg. if I'm using a database I have my include to connect to the database and I put my functions there.
