LemonInflux
Trying to work out remote shutdown. shutdown -s -m \\127.0.0.1 shuts down my computer. However, if I put a remote IP in, it doesn't work? Am I doing something wrong? Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/97790-ms-dos-lol/ Share on other sites
HaLo2FrEeEk
I think the computers need to be logged into a server computer, for example windows server. I have a normal home network set up, I can remote desktop into the computer and remote assistance as well, but when I type shutdown -i and put the computer's name (which is pillarofautumn (don't ask)), it doesn't work, if I also put in the computer's internal network IP, which is 192.168.1.87 (and it's static, so that's not it) it says it can't find the computer, or I don't have access. For some reason, I also can't run chkdsk, it says I need to run the program with elevated privileges...the thing is, I'm an administrator on my PC...stupid Vista.
