I am having a problem, getting a rewrite rule to do exactly what I want to do. When I use the following in the htaccess file it get the following errror: "No Input Files Specified" under the following conditions: http://www.sitename.com/index/ BUT if there is NOT a slash at the end the url is redirected to the right index page. I would like to get the same to happen when there IS a slash (as in the example above.) Any help would be most appreiciated. Thanks in advance.

RewriteEngine On
RewriteCond %{DOCUMENT_ROOT}%{REQUEST_URI} !-f
RewriteRule ^.+\.php$ /sitemap

<Files index>
ForceType application/x-httpd-php
</Files>

ErrorDocument 404 /index
