suphp - UID of script is smaller than min_uid

Have never come across suPHP before but its installed on my new server and is causing a problem. All php scripts (no matter how simple) give this message:

 

"Internal Server Error

 

UID of script "/domains/t/e/testsite.co.uk/public_html/index.php" is smaller than min_uid

suPHP 0.6.1"

 

I dont get the error with html code.

 

Please help!
