  1. I am not quite sure how to do this...I am not asking anyone how to do it for me..I want to be able to do it myself but if someone can guide me a little in getting started with it, it will be greatly appreciated.
  2. Hello, I have a site that requires membership in order to receive information on plays that are available for usage. When a member views a play and wants more information, he/she is redirected to a form that should be submitted. I would like for the basic membership information name, etc. to be dynamically populated so that the member only has to select the particular play that they want information on. I am not sure how to do this. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.
  3. Thanks NRG, I will try that. But I do not have any luck with getting answers from Joomlas forums...I have had what I would have thought was a simple question pending now for almost 2 weeks and still no answers...But I will try again. Thanks for your help.
  4. Ok...And I do appreciate the suggestions. Here is the thing. This is a Joomla site. So, all content is reloaded into the same template from the database. Joomla is not my specialty so maybe there is something that I don't know about it. Is there a way to have the Flash on just the home page and not on the other pages. My understanding and especially with the way that you have to incorporate Flash into Joomla, if it is on one page, then it is on all pages. If there is a way to not have the Flash header on all pages, can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks for all the comments and suggestions.
  5. The I Stock photos are just placeholders...The client is supposed to purchase the actual photos. I should have mentioned that and I forgot..And he provided the logo so I am kind of stuck there. I do see your point on the footer. And I just hadn't placed the copyright info in the footer yet. I think that is what I am most dissatisfied with personally is the footer. He also wants Flash with the header...I don't know. I maybe need to work on something different for the header that will still incorporate some type of Flash in it . Not quite sure what it will be, but anyway... Anyway, thanks for your thoughts . I am going to look at it some more and see what else I can do with it.....
  6. I am not a Joomla developer. However, I have a client that wanted a Joomla site. I have put something together for him and he should be viewing it for the first time tomorrow. It is at http://www.premierewebdesign.net/Site Let me know what you think and especially if there is something that should be changed before he sees it.
  7. I like it. With one exception. And this is just personal preference and not really a big issue. I think that your footer would look better if the text were centered. To me, other than that, it looks nice.
  8. I don't use Joomla that often but I have a client that is wanting his site in Joomla. Here is my problem. He wants to be able to show the latest news on his home page. I know about the "Latest News" module, but by default it lists as news any recent article. Anybody know if there is a way to modify it so that it only lists articles that are designated as being news articles or even a better way than what I am trying ????
  9. I have installed WordPress numerous times and never had a problem. However, I installed it on a site earlier today and now I am beating my head against the wall. Actually, that isn't correct. I haven't even installed it yet and I am already beating my head against the wall...... Here is the problem. When I open Wordpress to install, I get the install page but at the top of the page, I get this error message Warning: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /data/www/perl/wildcraft/Blog/wp-config.php:33) in /data/www/perl/wildcraft/Blog/wp-admin/install.php on line 12 Can somebody tell me what is causing this?
  10. Not if I understand the Libraries....Maybe I don't.. But this site is hosted by GoDaddy. So, wouldn't the libraries be on their end?
  11. I am not sure that I follow you about having old libraries. I did follow the link you provided. However, I do not know what link I need to follow there to get the information that you are referring to. If there is any more direction as to what link that you can give me, it will be appreciated.
  12. I now know what the problem is but I do not know what to do about it.....This site is on a Windows server. I have been told that I will have to use ASP to connect to the database. Maybe with a script similar to this DRIVER={MySQL ODBC 3.51 Driver}; SERVER=p41mysql31.secureserver.net; PORT=3306; DATABASE=lfbc1; USER=lfbc1; PASSWORD='your password here'; OPTION=0; I am lost. I know nothing about ASP. I can only assume that I will need to create an ASP config file. But will the ASP then interact with my PHP script to read the database? Or is this whole project going to have to be rewritten in ASP?
  13. I am new with PHP and MySql. I have a Script on a site that I designed for a Church. On my server, it works perfectly...(See http://www.premierewebdesign.net/Dan/NEW2/Events/index.php) However, when I try to load the page on the Church's site, I get this message....Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client.... (See http://www.reservationprocessing.net/lfbc/Events/index.php)..Both are using MySql 4. I don't have any idea what this message means.. ??? ??? ???..Any help will be appreciated.
  14. Ok......Thanks Y'all....Like I said I am really just getting started with PHP and so I appreciate all the knowledge that I can glean from those with experience.
  15. THanks everybody.......That was it. I took those 2 lines of code out and it works perfectly....At least I learned something today even if it did cause a massive headache to learn......
