zedd
Hello guys, I'm having trouble with running mysql using WAMP Server (portable version). Prior to moving to MySQL I learnt PHP by starting Server_Start.bat straight from WAMP Server folder. Now I moved to learning MySQL. What I did is start mysqlrun.bat from WAMP Server\diskw\usr\local\mysql folder (see attached picture) and then run myphpadmin from a browser by typing: http://localhost/myphpadmin as instructed in on online tutorial, but it did not work - the browser generated Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to localhost. What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance! Pikachu2000
Sounds like Apache isn't running. It needs to be since phpMyAdmin is a web based application. Just start the WAMP stack like normal and try it again.
