Thanks for all your help, this has fixed the emailing problem. I have now discovered another problem which I though had been fixed earlier. I have to sleep now, but is it possible for me to bug you with this new problem another day?

I replace //From $sendmail_from="$email" with $sendmail_from = 'From: '. { $email } ."\r\n"; and I got a HTTP Error 500.0 - Internal Server Error page

I'm sorry, I am new to this, I hit the #insert code button and pasted all that code between the tags but it came out like that. What is the correct way to post code if the #insert code button is not correct?

should I be replacing the $email=trim($_POST['email']); line with your new line? or should I be replacing something else?

Ok, I changed the line to $sendmail_from and this is the error message I recieved: Warning: mail(): "sendmail_from" not set in php.ini or custom "From:" header missing in C:\HostingSpaces\wraptinprint.com.au\wraptinprint.com.au\wwwroot\quotes_copy.php on line 280 Unable to send e-mail. Is this telling me I need to have From somewhere else in the code for this to work?

OK, So I turned error reporting on. It says: "Notice: Undefined variable: from in /home/rmdesign/public_html/wraptinprint/quotes_copy.php on line 280" Line 280: if(mail($to, $subject, $output, $from)) Line 281: die("The e-mail was sent successfully.<br />$success"); Line 282: else Line 283: echo "Unable to send e-mail."; I hope this helps The last line "Unable to send e-mail" is the warning that comes up when tested on live site

thanks for the fast reply. The page give the "unable to send email" message. I dont know about turning on error checking, Im fairly new to PHP. It has taken a while for me to get the code working properly, it was given to me by someone on a forum. How do I turn on error checkng?

Hi People, I need some help. I have created a website with a PHP form/s which work perfectly when uploaded to a test site situated at the back of mine. But when uploaded to the clients hosting it doesnt work. Now, I initially thought this was because the clients hosting didnt support PHP, and when I asked the client for some info all I got was a company name not a hosting package. When I visited there site it shows that even there standard package supports PHP. So, what could be going wrong between website hosts to cause the breakdown. This is the website www.wraptinprint.com.au The quotes page is the issue here, I have put up a dummy page so the actual code can be found at www.wraptinprint.com.au/quotes_copy.php All the PHP is on the page, so all you need to do is view source for both PHP and html. I have been working on this site for far too long and am completely stumped. Please help

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately this just made the default option another thing which also automatically shows up in the email What i want is for the user to choose whether they want to input details into these fields or leave them at the ----please select--- option. if left at the ----please select----- option i want that input to be discluded from the email Is there a way I can do this? -
Hello, I am very very new to PHP and have created a form that changes depending on a selection option. The website is here http://www.rmdesignstudio.com.au/wraptinprint/quotes.php and the PHP is all on the quotes.php page. The form sends to the email but when you fill in one form (example: Business Cards) the form sends, but along with all the entered fields the email also includes all the fields in all the hidden forms that werent filled in. I believe it is because they are drop down boxes and it is sending the first option in the list which happens to be "-----Please Select-----" Is there something I should be doing to my selection input field for this not to show up? Otherwise is there something I need to add to my PHP so it checks for the fields being filled in? I dont know how to add my code to this post, so if you could either show me or view my code via view source that would be awesome.
