hey, i'm quite new to this forum and just want to say hello. I have been using php for a couple of years now, before that I was a .net programmer.

Well one way could just be to set the width of the div to 0 (in the styles), then it will expand with the text width.

Its quite a big chunk of code, do you get any error message when running the code? that might help a bit, php usually gives usefull error messages.
