    Hi I'm new to PHP, and trying to connect Dreamweaver MX to my MySQL database. I know that my server, username and password are correct because I use them in phpMyAdmin successfully. I'm not using a local PHP server, because I prefer just to upload my PHP scripts to the web and test them there. Could my not installing PHP locally be causing the connection problem? Ed
